St Mary's Church, Marshalswick

Living God's Love in St Albans

Lent starts on ASH WEDNESDAY - this year on 14 February.

There will be two celebrations of the Eucharist so that as many people as possible will be able to keep the beginning of Lent in the traditional manner, by making their Communion and being ‘ashed’.  There will be a said Eucharist at 11.00am and a sung Eucharist at 7.30pm.
(If you have any palm crosses from 2017, please bring them to St Mary's on or before Sunday 11 February so they can be turned into 'ash' for Ash Wednesday.)

As people of faith, our spiritual health is something we should take seriously, but often we don't make time to think about our faith and prayer life, or to talk through any issues we have. The time given to MOT is yours; a change to talk honestly, openly and IN CONFIDENCE about things that matter AND  to seek to grow closer to God.  For more details click on  MOT

Each church season the books on display in the Small Hall bookcase are changed.  You are welcome to borrow books or just sit quietly with a book in the church or in the Quiet Room. For more details about the library, contact us - details below.
