APPEAL FOR HELP - St Mary's Church, along with many churches, charities, businesses and people, is struggling financially in this COVID-19 period. We still have nearly all our outgoings but have lost some of our sources of income; for example, we cannot hire out our hall or use it for our own fundraising events. We realise that this is a tough time for many, but if you could make a donation, it would be very much appreciated.   Just click here to go to our giving page.

Children's Worship in the Hall continues to meet online on Sunday morning  as they have since late April.  Their activities for each week can be found on the page for that Sunday. Some evidence of their work can be seen in Peppercorn Place, currently Welcome symbols.    On 19 July they met in Peppercorn Place. As well as worship and talking about the wheat and the weeds, they kindly pulled up some weeds in the garden!

The Canon Chancellor talks about

'When we see wickedness and wrong in the world, we ask why God does not act. There is no easy answer, but Jesus gives a clue and an assurance'.

Suffering is not the final word

Students from Eastern Region Ministry Course (ERMC) and Ridley Hall in Cambridge and St Hild College in Mirfield, West Yorkshire, will explore what it means to minister through the Covid-19 pandemic.
