St Mary's Church, Marshalswick

St Mary's is an Open Church - Open to God, Open to You

Sunday 6 December   Second Sunday of ADVENT

St Mary's is in vacancy as Fr Grant Holmes retired in October 2020. The process of finding a new Vicar has started but it will take time.  We are very grateful to members of the clergy who have offered to help with services during the vacancy.

We are delighted that this Sunday, Richard Watson, Vicar of St Saviour's, a neighbouring parish, is with us to preside and preach at the 9.00am and 10.30am services in church.

Today, is the third of a series of five sermons about Advent - Christ the King and Introduction to Advent (22 November) ) plus the theme for each week of Advent as it comes - Patriarchs (Paul Wiggins), Prophets (Fr Richard Watson), John the Baptist (Ruth Goatly) and Mary (Bishop Michael).  See the Advent Sermons page for videos of the sermons.

APPEAL FOR HELP - St Mary's Church, along with many churches, charities, businesses and people, is struggling financially in this COVID-19 period. We still have nearly all our outgoings but have lost some of our sources of income; for example, we cannot hire out our hall or use it for our own fundraising events. We realise that this is a tough time for many, but if you could make a donation, it would be very much appreciated.   Just click here to go to our giving page.
