St Mary's is an Open Church - Open to God, Open to You
Join in with St Mary's online Saturday Coffee Shop - It's good to see you!
If you tried it on our first week and could not manage to get a word in or could not hear properly as several people were talking at once, please do try again. The first week lots of us were very excited to see someone else and for many it was their first experience of Zoom. The Coffee Shop will now be "open" for two hours so people can come and go and, hopefully, everyone will have a chance to say something. Appeal to all who do join in - let others have a turn to speak!! You do need the invitation with the link to join in , so if you have not got this or cannot find the earlier email, please contact Chris Bromley (click for contact details)
On Saturday 18 April, we held our first virtual Coffee Shop Meeting using Zoom, a free online service which allows many people to see each other and chat online. You do not need to sign up to having your own Zoom account to join a meeting. The easiest way is to just click on the link in the emailed invitation. A total of 26 people joined in over the course of our first Coffee Shop and 21 people were around at some point on 25 April . It was good to see, hear and chat with others! Many had their coffee with them! The photo shows who was there at one point on Saturday 25 April.
The same invitation works for every Saturday - you do not need a new one every week!
The Coffee Shop will now be held from 10.30 am to 12.30 pm so during those two hours you could pop in for a short while (even more than once during the meeting if you wish) or you are welcome to stay as long as you like.
You need to be invited to join. Everyone linked to St Mary's is welcome to ask for an invitation.
Emails with an invitation together with some guidance on how to join a Zoom Meeting have been sent to everyone in the congregation for whom we have an email address. If you did not get it, check your Spam folder.
If you haven't had an mail but would like to have an invitation to the Saturday Coffee Shop, just email Chris Bromley .
Also, if you had the original one but can't find it and you would like to receive another copy of the invitation, email Chris Bromley
