We have recently reverted to our original service pattern so the times of the Sunday services are now:
8.00am    Holy Communion (said)
9.30am    Parish Communion (sung)
Coffee is served after the 9.30am Service

We are no longer recording our Sunday Service. If you want to watch a service online, check out our THIS SUNDAY page which has our details for the day plus links to the national Church of England Service and to the streamed service from St Albans Cathedral.

We are still asking everyone to please continue to wear masks inside the church building.  We will still respect social distancing but may have up to three people in a pew (more if all in same bubble). There will be seating in the small and large hall in order to accommodate as many as possible and still have space between people.   For more details about the changes since July - see leaflet Easing of Covid Restrictions at St Mary's

Our new Vicar, the Revd Kate Pearson, joined us on Monday 6 September. There was a special service - the Collation, Induction and Installation Service - to mark the start of her new ministry here.  See below for a few informal photos taken after the service.   For more photos see our online album

APPEAL FOR HELP - St Mary's Church, along with many churches, charities, businesses and people, is struggling financially in this COVID-19 period. We still have nearly all our outgoings but have lost some of our sources of income; for example, we cannot hire out our hall or use it for our own fundraising events. We realise that this is a tough time for many, but if you could make a donation, it would be very much appreciated.   Just go to our giving page.
